CCastellar de n’Hug has been awarded for its tourist promotion, for upholding traditions and keepping and improving the local colour of the village with following awards: Primer Premi Nacional de Turisme d’Espanya on 1984 by the Secretaria General de Turismo. Premi a la Promoció Turística Municipal on 1990 by Consell Comarcal del Berguedà. Diploma al Municipi Turístic de Catalunya on 1995 by Generalitat de Catalunya

Castellar de n’Hug, is one of the main tourist points of Berguedà right in the Natural Park of Cadí-Moixerò, and one of highest villages in Catalonia. Offering a wide choice in different category lodgings: hotels, restaurants, rural holiday apartments, guest houses and youth hostels; active leisure: hill walking, ski, cannoning, b.t.t., etc…, cultural, historical and industrial tourism; high mountain gastronomy and a wide offer of high mountain products. Castellar de n’Hug is still an active zone of some traditional mountain works and a place with beautiful natural sites like River Llobregat Source.
